Rainbow Families

Updated: May 8

Maybe you wonder, what is a rainbow family?Great question—it’s a family with an LGBTQIA+ member.

That person may be a son or daughter, or a grandson or granddaughter, maybe a niece or nephew, or brother or sister. Many studies by worldwide genetics groups are comfortable with projecting that over 50% of all worldwide families have at least one rainbow member. 23andMe evaluated over 488,000 genetic records and believes around 59% of all families can or will have at least one special member.

Families make a church.

The church doesn’t make families. Help us accept, support, and connect with all families, especially our rainbow families who have been judged, rejected, or orphaned by errant opinions and judgements. We can enrich our own churches and families.

Remember: “Jesus never looked the other way—and neither should we!!” We eagerly look forward to connecting with all of you.

Hugs,
