About SDA Kinship International
Seventh-day Adventist Kinship International is a global community of LGBTQIA+ individuals with Adventist backgrounds, as well as their families, friends, and allies. We provide support, advocacy, and resources to ensure that all individuals feel affirmed in both their faith and identity.
Our community is open to LGBTQIA+ people with an Adventist connection, their families, allies, and anyone seeking a supportive and inclusive space within the context of Adventism.
No, we are an independent organization. While we have members who are active in Adventist churches, we operate separately to provide a safe and affirming space for LGBTQIA+ individuals.

We offer support groups, spiritual retreats, regional and international gatherings, online discussions, and educational resources. Kinship Kampmeeting is one of our major annual events, bringing together members for worship, workshops, and fellowship.
Faith & LGBTQIA+ Identity
Yes. Being LGBTQIA+ and being a person of faith are not mutually exclusive. Many members of our community find ways to integrate their faith and identity, and we provide resources to support that journey.
We believe in a compassionate and contextual approach to Scripture. Our community recognizes the diversity of theological perspectives and encourages thoughtful study, dialogue, and respect for differing views.
No. We affirm that sexual orientation and gender identity are natural aspects of who we are. Kinship supports an understanding of faith that embraces and celebrates LGBTQIA+ identities.

Yes! We host dedicated spaces for parents, family members, and allies to learn, share experiences, and find encouragement.
Events & Community Engagement
Our events range from virtual meetups to international conferences. Some of our groups hold retreats, Bible study groups, and educational workshops, and participate in pride festivals and parades. Local groups may also do potlucks, game nights, and other social activities to connect in community.
