UnClobber
Colby Martin
The book UnClobber: Rethinking Our Misuse of the Bible on Homosexuality by Colby Martin shares his journey as an evangelical pastor engaging with LGBTQIA+ people through a biblical and compassionate lens. It offers an accessible, scripture-based examination of the six "clobber texts" and demonstrates how Christians can fully embrace LGBTQIA+ individuals within God’s family.
This book is a valuable resource for Kinship members, leadership, and allies. Seventh-day Adventist Kinship is launching an outreach project to promote and distribute it within Adventist communities. Thousands of pastors, church leaders, and members will receive the book, aiming to foster conversations about LGBTQIA+ inclusion in the church, open hearts and minds, and create more loving, inclusive congregations that reflect God’s love for all.

Théologie fondamentale LGBT+
Reinder Bruinsma

The Bible & LGBTQ Adventists
Alicia Johnston
This book invites a theological conversation on same-sex marriage, gender, and identity, challenging traditional Adventist beliefs. It specifically explores the denomination's theological stance while questioning it from an affirming perspective.
Rooted in scripture, the book addresses lingering questions for those unsettled by standard answers or dissatisfied with the institutional church's approach. It seeks to foster meaningful dialogue without avoidance or conflict, acknowledging the church's struggle to navigate these complex topics.

Queer Insights: Contributions to a more balanced discussion on sexual orientations and relationships
Werner E. Lange
In the fall of 2023, the leadership of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists launched a campaign to counter the growing criticism of its denial of biological causes for sexual orientations, its assertion of their changeability, and its theological rejection of same-sex monogamous relationships.
However, already at the beginning of that year, the editors of this book had decided to ask Adventist scholars in Germany and elsewhere to present alternative views in order to promote a more balanced discussion of these issues. The book Queergedacht (queer thinking with a phonetic allusion to thinking outside the box), was published in September 2023, and almost sold out within three months. Therefore, this second, expanded edition was printed.
The editors felt the time had come to also prepare an English edition since no Adventist work with contributions from experts in their fields has been published since Christianity and Homosexuality: Some Seventh-day Adventist Perspectives by Adventist Forum in 2008. The contributions of over 20 authors to this book will enrich and balance the debate about sexual orientations and relationships through new biological findings, experiences of conversion therapy attempts, and by offering better biblical interpretations to harmful texts. The authors aim to encourage a rethinking and above all a change in attitude towards queer church members and their monogamous relationships.

Guiding Families of LGBT+ Loved Ones
NAD Commission on Human Sexuality / Bill Henson
The Guiding Families booklet serves to help improve church members' ability to demonstrate the love of Jesus to those in our Adventist homes, churches, or schools who are of another orientation and/or identity. It introduces the reader to a glossary of terms used to identify the various groups in the LGBT+ community and includes guidance on developing a care plan built on trust, common answers to tough questions, biblically-based examples of how to pray in faith and trust in God, and why it is important to remain faithful to the Bible.
This booklet is supported by the NAD and is freely available through Advent Source. Although the guide, stops short of full acceptance of the LGBT+ community, and the final page re-iterates the official statement from the SDA church, Kinship feels that this Adventist approved booklet is a major leap forward and useful resource for enhancing communication and discussion around LGBT+ issues and the church.

Grundlæggende LGBT+-teologi
Reinder Bruinsma

Basic LGBT+ Theology
Reinder Bruinsma
Reinder Bruinsma has served as a Seventh-day Adventist conference president for the Netherlands and Belgium, a General Conference administrator, pastor, and author. In his so-called "retirement," he continues to write, speak at Adventist leadership and laity conferences, and attend meetings worldwide.
Reinder first connected with Kinship at a European Kinship Meeting (EKM) in the Netherlands, where the stories he heard began to reshape his views on gender and sexuality diversity within Adventism. After participating in several Building Safe Places—for Everyone meetings in Germany, he was inspired to write a more inclusive Seventh-day Adventist theology, reflecting his personal and theological journey.
Reinder, along with Frieder and Ingrid Schmid, Per Bolling, and Valerie Ballieux, translated the text into five languages, with the Spanish translation still in progress. Ruud Kieboom contributed with a beautiful layout, and Kinship and Building Safe Places members have distributed paper copies to pastors and administrators.
